Living Culture Incursion

It is always a pleasure to have Lionel Lauch from Living Culture visit us and take us on a guided walk through the foreshore, highlighting the significance of the local flora and fauna from an indigenous perspective. Each time we discover more about our own backyard and find something new. The children enjoyed sampling the bush tucker and learning about bush medicine. We practiced turning plants into rope and Lionel finished the day playing his Yidiki (didgeridoo) – with a mix of active dancing and quiet meditation.

Nina Taylor MP visits and gives LFK the ‘Kinder Tick’

We were thrilled to have Nina Taylor MP visit us at LFK to give us the Kinder Tick.

Here’s what she had to say:

‘Lady Forster Kindergarten now has the Kinder Tick, a new initiative recently announced by the Minister for Early Childhood.

The Kinder Tick helps Victorian families find a funded kindergarten program for their children.

When you see the Kinder Tick, you can be confident:

The children at Lady Forster are clearly thriving, and are all over sustainability: the wormfarm and organic gardening – all on display”
