The National Quality Framework (NQF) provides a national approach to regulation, assessment and quality improvement for early childhood education and care and outside school hours care services across Australia.
Education and care services are assessed and rated by their state and territory regulatory authority.

The National Quality Standard ratings are undertaken to promote transparency and accountability and help parents assess the quality of education and care.
